fish-like insect ID? (don't think it's silverfish)

    Hi folks,

Looking to see can anyone identify this insect. It was found in a sink (insure if insect is the correct term, and unsure if this is the correct forum.. so mods can feel free to move if need be).

It was found in a kitchen sink on a ground floor. There aren't m/any other insects around (ie silver fish or lice wouldn't be very common) but unsure where this fella came from, so naturally would like to know if there's an issue that should be getting dealt with).

    Attached are two pictures.

I've googled silverfish, but can't find any pictures that look the same as this chap.

    Cheers for any assistance :-)

That appears to me to be a bean sprout.

Another pic with a better sense of scale.

Worth mentioning perhaps that he was a loner. Not a load of these yokes, just one of them that I seen. Also nothing has ever been in the sink before.

(I also don't know what was going on there during the day so unsure if there was perhaps a bag of prawns or fish or such in the sink that this fella belonged to.. but I highly doubt it.. my guess is he came from the drain).

Apparently the sink would be full of bleach regularly enough (to clean steel cutlery, cups etc) which only further confuses me (I'd have thought the bleach would wipe out anything living down there).

Bean sprout as in a bit of food that didn't go down the drain, or a mad insect name I never heard of?

(I'm trying to Google but now Google won't work for me! Typical!).

Edit: starting to feel a bit silly now. :o

A bit of food that dudn’t Get washed down. Could it be that? Has anyone been eating Asian food recently? I could be totally wrong.

It kinda looks like the remains of Mary our Goldfish - who tragically became a Ghostfish a few days ago.

Yeah, two 4-in-1s. One with rice, one with noodles. I presume it came from one of those. Ate about 2 hours before I noticed this in the sink.

Mad that I've never seen one like that before. Was fully sure it was some kind of weird insect thing.

Cheers for all the help everyone. Certainly puts my mind at ease. Was worried about a load of fish shooting up from the drain, like a horror film. Haha.

I can see why you'd think it was a fish or something, at first glance I thought it was a dead tetra. It was only when i zoomed in i saw there were no eyes or fins. It was probably in with the noodles.
