Failed nct yesterday on brakes. I will post the numbers but it seems to be fairly bad, would this be something like brake pads or is it something much more serious?

    Front Axle 3.040kn 0.240kn 39% 38% 92%
    Rear Axle 1.840kn 1.840kn 15% 18% 0%

    Service Brake Performance 58%

Parking brake passed with only 4% imbalance and 23% performance.

I also failed on brake discs being contanimated so maybe that could be playing a part in it?

I'd say one of your calipers has either seized pistons/ sliders or has no brake pad material left.
If the discs are covered in grease or other contaminants then that may be part of the issue.
What did the advisory note at the bottom of the sheet say?

I would say all you need is new discs and pads. One side isn't working properly because it's been contaminated with oil or something like they said.

Service brake Operation Less than 50% of minimum effeciency required
    and then Brake Drum/Disc Contaminated.

New discs and pads are probably a good idea if they are contaminated but why are they contaminated?
You need to find whats causing that before sticking new pads and discs in or they could go the same way.
Even when contaminated they usually don't read that low, there is usually a degree of braking and your figures show almost none.
