Equal Status Complaint against a Licensed Premises.

    Hello Everyone...

Quick question... If there is an Equal Status complaint made against a pub, does it have to be heard by a judge in the District Court as opposed to an Equality Officer at a tribunal at the Workplace Relations Commission???...

I seem to remember that some years ago, complaints against Licensed Premises were transferred to the District Court, but I don't know if it applies to all complaints, or just a 'Refusal of Service'...

The complaint in question is not a refusal...

    Thanks Everyone...

    Darth...

Such a complaint might be made as an objection to the grant of the annual pub licence. It would have to be on notice at the Annual Licensing District Court.
You should consult a solicitor practising in that court
