It sounds like you are missing the support timber for down the middle under the Slats.
You should be able to get a length of 44 mm x 44 mm in any good builders providers.
Alternatively a Sawmills will also be able to sort you out.
Or you could use a length of Steel Box section which would be really strong.

Any type of wood will do. Rough white deal 2x2 inch is what you should ask for.

It might be worth double checking that the height required is 45mm. It doesn’t have to be exact. To check place one of the cross timbers on edge and put it in position on the supports on each side of the bed at either the head or foot. Mark where it crosses over the slot. This should tell you the height of timber you need. Pick a cross timber that is straight on edge.

Go for the steel box section. Takes the creak out of the bed. ;)

First, you confirm which type timber woods you have the requirement like Dark wood or white wood and hardwood or soft wood.

Because hardwood most commonly used in furniture but both timber kinds of wood are used in furniture.

    4 Ash
    5 Birch
    6 Maple

    Some Of the softwoods is-
    1 Pine
    2 Spruce
    3 Cedar
