TULSA Negligence

Asking for a friend of mine.

Family has had volunteeray and temporary care order put in place. Children and mother moved to family home for a few weeks while household issues were rectified. Originally Tusla had assigned intake and assessment social worker who advised some weeks ago they were stepping back and a new team would take place within a certain timeframe. Fast forward twice as long beyond that timeframe no contact has been made and phone calls are not being returned.

Is there a case to be made here? Surely they can’t just neglect to do their job for weeks on end?

Join the queue. They seem to be incredibly under staffed and over worked. A friend of mine reported a very clear case of neglect of 2 kids, some time ago. No investigation of merit was taken and case closed after 12 months. Roll on another 18 months, and now the Garda are involved and the circumstances have escalated beyond belief.

Be prepared to wait and wait.

Ah Tusla - putting children in care then turfing them on the street when they get older.
