Claim Dole After College?

Basically long story short I went on a J1 to America and came back in September and was unemployed for 5 weeks after I came back ? I didn't know I could claim the dole when I came back , Am I entitled to anything for the 5 weeks I didn't claim?

claims can onlybe backdated to the date they were applied for, so in short no
