Renault Grand Scenic engine problem

Last winter soon after setting off on a cold morning my car would start chugging, just for a split second, once maybe twice when I put my foot down. It was like the car was out of fuel. Never thought anything of it as it didn’t happen again until last week. Seems to be a similar pattern I.e. when I go through the gears and start going uphill and move from 4th to 5th, speed around 70-80 kmph.

This morning when it happened a message appeared saying stop, engine failure.

But again it was only a split second and I continued my journey with no issues.

Anyone any thoughts on what it could be?

What engine? Petrol? Diesel? What year? We need as much specifics as possible to help.

So far we have a Scenic that doesn't like the cold, and is now throwing an error code. Next step would be to get the code read at a mechanic, as it should identify the problem.

If diesel, could well be the likes of glow plugs, injectors, fuel filter etc etc....

It should be stored so when mechanic plugs in diagnostics.
