They also put up videos of the bulls going through the ring and the prices on their twitter.

    Report up now.

They sure put a great spin on things. Of the first 10 bulls in the catalogue for example, only 3 went through the ring. 2 of these were unsold.

Apparently a bull was sold for €15,000 on the day of the Tullamore show.

Different bull. They bought a bull from the same man at tullamore and were looking at that bull too. Dovea pulled out at around the 20/25 k mark, a breeder from Waterford/Wicklow drove him to 37

Fair enough, wouldn't be the first time. I do know that they did buy another bull off the same man. I did think that it was strange that it was the same price/number as what his sire foreman sold for.

I stand corrected. I've since herd myself about the bolloxing that went on. They have approached dovea to either buy the bull or sell the straws I'm not sure which. I've also herd that the society have got involved but that means Notting as we all know from previous wrong doings.

This could all backfire on them now, as Dovea have bought their own Foreman bull, Ernevalley Madison ET. I saw him selling and he's a right smasher. Nicest bull at the sale. A real good walker too.

Honestly, I was sickened by what went on that sale. Prooving it is another thing , I suppose. Guy beside me was roaring laughing at the whole thing. I never applauded afterwards.....sorry, but I ain't playing along with your little charade. My rant over.

Were they trying to bull dovea I wonder? God knows. It would be strange if they were selling two foreman bulls. Thought that the bull they bought was better anyway to be honest. Bit more size.

Was he being poled and got left with him or what's the craic? Or is this all top secret:)

What I'm taking from it is that Dovea were bidding on a bull but it was sold instead to someone who has 'connections' to the seller. These purchasers then want Dovea to market or sell semen from the bull, ergo, have their cake & eat it, along with having the fancy pants top price.

Or am I totally off! :pac:

That’s what I’m getting anyway, can’t see Dovea biting that idea anyway

Patsy did the man selling tap the hammer once or twice at the end, that tells the tale who is up at the end and tells if Tom rafter was bidding up.

There's 10 heifers in the main sale too. That Shannon herd has a good name. I've seen a good few of their bulls selling over the years and they've always been top quality.

Tynans had 3 ET brothers with different stars, calving difficult, milk replacement and caving days of daughters. Cant understand how they are coming up with these star ratings and how they are justifying the whole thing.

Didn't make it but the trade looked strong. Nice to see a bit of positive movement in trade.
