Advice on development complaint

I'm looking for advice about making a complaint about a development.
It's for a house close to mine. Before being sold it was originally in bad bedsits, with dodgy, 80s style, one story extensions connected to the back of the house, and then a small gap and a separate one storey mews type dwelling. This was two smaller apex roofed buildings connected together.

The new owners obtained planning permission, which entailed demolishing the one storey extensions and building a part two story, part one story extension.
The mews building is never mentioned in the planning apart from being shown on plans as 'existing mews'.

As development has progressed they have demolished the existing mews and rebuilt it larger, and as a single building. With a new entrance off the side lane that wasn't there previously. Last week they have built a separate wall between the house and the mews.

Am I right to think that this isn't allowed? I haven't calculated the outdoor green space, but I don't think it's adequate.
Am I right to think that they also can't demolish the mews building and rebuild something larger.
While the mews part was lived in at some stage in the past while, can it still be legally rented out by the current owners of the main house?

Sounds to me they are improving and investing in development. Could be a shed not a mews. And if mews previously could be ok. how does this adversely affect you. I personally wouldn't be worried enough to report my neighbour for not having adequate green space.

Or building something they didn't get planning permission for.

Could be, but they are already building a separate shed, also not in the planning.

In terms of the green space, I agree with you. I've had issues myself with neighbours over this, and them falsely reporting me.

But if they are building a new, larger structure, with the view to renting it out, I'm not sure I'm happy with that. Isn't the planning permission system there for a reason?

Someone else did a similar development nearby, renting out through Airbnb. On a number of occasions it's resulted in my car being blocked into my drive, damage to my house where people have thought the pedestrian laneway was suitable for cars, hitting my house, and blocking disabled access to my house, which I need.
