Working in deli, shop assistant. Back when I was young it was out on a building site, garage or driving agri. Not making sandwiches.

When you were young I'd say a stint in the trenches at the Somme was also a career option.

Bet nobody was gay back then either and the blacks were all still in Africa.

    You sound like a treasure.

Good for you that you had that kind of freedom to pick and choose your job. Those were probably decent paying jobs too. Nowadays young people get minimum wage jobs with zero hours contracts because that’s the market.

I’m presuming your point was how much easier you had it back in your day, but I might be wrong.

Nothing wrong with not wanting a back breaking job with hands you can never get clean...

Bet you walked uphill both ways to get to work & back too.

A not a young fellah in sight with his ears pierced either.
And do you remember when you could only drink either Guinness or Harp , none of those new fangled beers.

I'd say this fine gentleman is up late because it's midterm and has no school in the morning.

Most jobs are gender neutral, it is just that males and females prefer some jobs over others, with some notable exceptions that is.
A male bra fitter in M&S would be hard pressed to find many customers for example.
Edit: I'm not talking about moobs. :P

You know you'd only end up fitting the older ladies with the flappy baps right? With the boring beige underwire bra!

Not the young wans with the pert titties that can just buy the cute little bras in Penneys!

Serious ? I never knew bras were that technical , I mean I knew there was front loaders and a view other varieties , do you think a bra fitter is like a gas fitter ?

I'd rather see them working somewhere than kicking cans on a street corner, it doesn't bother me one iota when I go into an establishment what gender I'm served by so long as they can do it properly and politely.

It's the ADHD around here. If it's more than ten posts, people forget what thread they're reading

I spent summers working on building sites, with my dad. I hated it.

I'm man enough to say, I'm not able for it. I'd much rather have a comfortable job. I'm a software developer now. Much nicer.

Well, a gas fitter must make sure he tightens the nipples enough to ensure there are no leakages.
I would imagine it's a bit like a structural engineer, trying to ensure that the structure will keep them from flopping out.
Having some previous experience with parachutes or Zeppelins would be useful.

I've never seen any of the people collecting my wheelie bin ever but like magic they are empty every second week. I've never wondered if it might be a woman. Why would I? Why would you?

  • Genuine job, according to the missus.

It is a job. Mainly for young girls though who are getting their first bra or post partum women. Cos when they get pregnant be the holy man.
