If you’re feeling a bit down try making some of the changes in the infographic below.

Keep a diary of how you’re feeling, write down the main things you’ve done that day and whether you had a good day or bad. Even give the day a mark out of 10. Pretty soon you’ll start to see a pattern and you can see the things that when you do them you tend to have a good day and things when you do them you tend to have a bad day.

Do more of the things that you do on a good day, do less of the things you do on a bad day.

    Take control and responsibility.

A person with depression isn't really able to do this - that's one of the classic symptoms, an inability to see the world in that way.

However those who aren't depressed but feeling down - it's a great idea to do exercises like this. A bit of perspective now and again is very much worth having.

At the time somebody is going through a period of depression they possibly cannot do the above.

However, someone with depression still needs to try and take responsibility to effect the required change in their life. Making small improvements in loads of different areas, which is exactly what this infographic is all about, leads to massive change. When someone prone to depression feels a bit of strength in themselves then it’s time to implement that change and manage that depression.

Two Sinutab and two Nurofen Cold & Flu will give you a small euphoric feeling when taken with a large black coffee too.

    Not always.

I agree, it’s not always possible but that’s why it’s so important to manage depression at times when you’re doing ok.

Tell people close to you. See a Counsellor. Have people that check in with you that know you struggle etc...

Then when you hit real lows there’s people to help you, you know you’ve somewhere to turn... and always have SAM in your phone - 116 118, 24 hours a day you’ve someone to talk to.
