    Disability allowance recently backdated to May 2017.

    Recently approved for household benefits package.

    Does anyone know if household benefits package is backdated ?

    it woudl be the same as any payment in that its backdated to the date you applied. but i dont think it wouldbe backdated tothe date of disability application tho

    Your HBP will be backdated to the date they received your application

    It says on the letter I received from household benefits section .

    "Your application for electricity allowance has been approved from 12/05/2017" (this is date disability allowance was backdated to)


    I only applied for it in September 2018.

    Can anyone please clarify. Thanks

    Ok I see what you mean now. I thought your DA was backdated to May 2018.
    You are entitled to electricity allowance of approx €1.15 per day backdated to May 2017.

    Mine was only backdated 6 weeks which was date i applied for HB,i think i read somewhere it was a maximum of 6 weeks ,but going by letter op recieved it does look like its longer for them.
