Just 52 too. Very sad news.

He was involved with so many clubs and festivals in the country over the years.

    RIP.

Wow,that is a shock for sure,he'd just landed back on the festival scene with a bang earlier this year with All together Now. Allthough he was no longer involved The picnic is now well established as one of Europe's leading festivals. He's a big loss to the industry. RIP

A statement issued on behalf of his family read: "It is with great sadness that the Reynolds family confirm the sudden death of John Reynolds of POD this evening.

"John, aged 52 years, who was one of Ireland's leading independent festival and concert promoters, died suddenly at his home in Milltown, Dublin.

"Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.

"The family requested privacy at this time.

"Metropolis Festival will go ahead this Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October as scheduled in the RDS, Dublin."

I was working with him in the camper van area at All Together Now and he was looking healthy, a bit of shock. RIP John Reynolds.

massive loss to the Irish music scene - I worked with him on something back in the POD days , and he was so cool, he revolutiised the whole festival scene in Ireland with EP - huge loss to the industry.

RIP John Reynolds. The POD and RedBox helped define the cutting edge of 1990s nightlife in Dublin. Very very young to pass away too. :(

I remember going into pod promotions looking for a support slot for a particular gig and John met me..took the cd, asked about the band and rang around before telling me the act had their own support

He didnt have to do it. And seemed to hold everyone in the same equal regard.

    Decent guy... RIP

At the second ever Electric Picnic we were kept waiting, in the carpark, for the gates to open. John came round with bottles of water & personally apologised. Later he gave us a lift in his golf buggy.

Is that one of Sinead's (sorry, Shuhada's) baby daddies? Or is it another John Reynolds I'm thinking of?

In any case, too young to go :/ RIP

Until today and yesterday I never knew he was behind the All Together Now, Metropolis and Forbidden Fruit festivals as well as founding EP.

    Truly Mr Festival in Ireland.

I believe you're thinking of John Waters.

RIP to John Reynolds. Had a few good nights over the years in the POD.
