Garces has decided England need a few points

Change the record. Garces has been fine, by and large. England got away with some defensive infringements in the first half, but officials wised up by end of half. Game has flowed well, with no real shockers from ref or assistants.

That lineout was a knock on because black slapped whites arm away as catching ball.
Anyone else see a penalty to white there?

    That's not a dummy throw.

He stopped moving backwards very briefly but didn't move forward to fake a throw.

Not one English player retreated of Daly’s kick

Itoje was all over that on the floor. Laughable

For all his first half heroics, Underhill has been anonymous this half.

Ben Youngs is getting no distance from his clearing box kicks, really putting pressure on his team

How many in their own 22 are they allowed?

    English goose cooked .... methinks

Presumably Carter's kicking averages were a good bit above Barrets? I'd have thought he'd be pulling the international average up , not down. Might make th4 difference in the wc for a close game . Might give a team an edge of hope.

NZ hit the front, albeit by 1 point. Looking ominous for England now. ABs have the big mo.

Yep hooker having a nightmare. Lineout crucial at this level

Retalck playing the ball off his feet there, laughable

Both teams a shambles. World Cup on for Ireland anyone?

Ah, the conditions are appalling. Doesn't really tell us much of anything.

Garces poor on that too. Very disappointing

Stuart Barnes hiring the new England captain? He has basically sacked Hartley on live tv and promoted Farrell

Have you seen the conditions they're playing in? This was never going to be a clean skilful game.

The question is whether Ireland can win one knockout match at the world cup. If so, then the RWC is a possibility.

Anyone questioning Toner's importance can reference NZ dismantling the English lineout today.

If they were simultaneously a like and dislike function I'd use it for this post

    I love Ben Smith

Owen Farrell has not had a good game. Been missing in the big moments in attack and defence.

I'm fully aware that I've now set him up for a game winning drop goal or penalty.

Farrell targeting Ioane effectively here, one to watch for us next week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,528 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

England would be better off throwing the line out long at this stage.

    .

Apart from a try saving tackle a while ago you mean?

English outside defender miles off three times

Fairly generous gate being enforced today at the rucks

Have NZ so much as bent a law in this game at all in your opinion?

I wait with anticipation to watch you call all Irelands indiscretions against Argentina later.

    What?

Did you not see that passage of play?

Do you even enjoy watching rugby? You only seem to complain about it.

Slade has been quite good today

Play the ball not the man. They are offside all day.

That fellow in Black should have tackled that guy in white there.

    Shocking scrum half play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,244 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

    What?

Did you not see that passage of play?

Does your tv only show the half of the screen England are on?

I have no issue calling out Ireland's indiscretions. I certainly won't moan constantly during a game about everything the opposition do and ignore ireland. Thats called hypocrisy

What a mistake from NZ, fantasic finish from Underhill

Surely a try. Nothing clearly offside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,741 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Just a hair offside I think

New Zealand intentionally playing poorly to make the world Cup more exciting. Discuss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,939 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Ah come on. That is seriously harsh

Edit - I guess Lawes may be a centremetre offside, but it's not clear at all.
