Avensis pulling to right when accelerating

Hi all. Bought a 2016 avensis a few days ago and noticed (after buying) that it pulled to the right when accelerating. It wasn't major but noticeable. Contacted garage where I bought it and they said that if I leave it in somewhere they'll pay if there's anything wrong.

Anyway the two tyres on front axle were different brands (Continental and one Chinese piece of crap), so I took the other Continental from the back to match the other on the front. And the issue went away.

So I'm wondering if I there's anything else I should be worried about? Possibly a fault with the tyre I moved to the back? I didn't notice anything on it. While the offer is there is there anything I should get checked out in a garage?

I now have different makes of Chinese rubbish on the back and intend to change them when the funds replenish, but wondering if I should hurry that up?

Yes absolutely. Even if it meant borrowing the money I would get the chinese junk off.

You could try chancing your arm with the seller about the tires and see if you can get them to replace or contribute to something else but I would doubt it.

Sounds like the issue was with the rubbish Chinese branded tyre. Get rid of them sooner rather than later would be my advice as they ain't going to improve with time even on the rear.

I'm sure someone will be along soon now to tell you that all tyres perform the same and the cheap ones are fine unless your a racing driver.

No I agree re sh1te tyres, got a fairly good deal with trade in so didn't push the tyre thing much. Thanks for the reply

I had a problem with my car pulling to one side and shortly after the drive shaft went.

Apparently pulling to one side (forget if left or right side) is an indication that the drive shaft is going.

And also the mechanic told me that often the drive shaft goes if something called the “CV boot” gets damaged, so might be worth checking that too.

Thanks for the reply. Goes to show how crap the tyre is if it caused these issues.

Was that a constant pull to right/left? Mine was only when accelerating but could be worth checking out.

Pretty sure it was to the left. This article mentions pulling to one side when accelerating:
