    Hi
    I’m looking for a bit of information/advice

I’m moving the hot water cylinder 26” one side and I’m wondering about the connections to the insulated cylinder

I’ve one coming in at the top by the heating element

Another about two thirds the way up with a valve (right side)
Same side down to the bottom of the tank (connects to overflow/vent in attic

Then on the left one at the bottom on the left side, this one has the connection to bleed and also a valve further up the 3/4” pipe

Basically what are each connection, I’m planning on draining the cold tank in the attic, then draining the hot water cylinder before moving but I’m just apprehensive about the water which can Ben heated from the oil boiler ??

I could freeze the pipes and blank them as I move hem but just looking for information

    Any help appreciated

The one off the top is the expansion/vent and is also the hot supply to services.
The one two thirds of the way up is the flow from the boiler to the coil.
The one below that is the return to the boiler.
The other one at the bottom on opposite side is the cold feed to the cylinder from the cold water storage cistern in the attic.
I would advise against freezing the pipes, either drain the heating system to remove the coil circuit or get a plumber in.
It could go very wrong very quickly.

If I don’t freeze the pipes then I will drain everything first ..... I’ve to pipe up a new rad anyway so could kill two birds wit one stone

No need to get a plumber in for jobs like this.... it’s only swapping like for like, but helps knowing what is running where

    Cheers for your response 👍🏻
