My favorite month of the Year is probably December. Mainly because I like Christmas and I find it a relaxing enough month once their isn't terrible weather. Even when I worked in retail I still liked it.

September. It's still warm, but not scalding. There are often a lot of bright, sunny days and clear blue skies. The late evening sun is often quite strong and brings with it beautiful sunsets.

Most of all, it's the way the air smells (and feels) different. I love that subtle smell of the changing season. I always find that change in the air particularly noticeable in September.

September's changing air always fills me with renewed hope in a fresh beginnings sort of way. It's a visceral response that I can't fully understand or explain. It makes me feel very alive :)

This doesn't register with me. Christmas is pretty good but cold and stressful even if you don't have kids. After the summer we had I don't know how anybody can pick a month outside May to aug

    April.

Once the Masters tournament starts then that's the cue of summer starting for me. Freshly cut grass starts wafting around and there is a noticeable stretch in the evenings after the clocks are changed the week before.

May was also in the running but looking back that month was always associated in my mind with stress of school or college exams.

I'd I find Summer months far more stressful than December!

I don't mind the Christmas period itself, but I'm not gone on December in general because it's a manic month with totally OTT consumerism forced down your throat constantly. Also working in a retail job around that time makes it hard to genuinely enjoy that time of the year: it's just too manic and stressful. I'm sure if you have holidays around then it feels fantastic.

I'm a big fan of January. It's quiet, laid back and there's usually a glut of high quality films on release. It's the month for me.

December. My birthday is early December; it's Christmas time; I love cold weather, dark evenings and roaring fires; the football really heats up around this time; I love winter food (soups, stews etc).

Yes, December is the best month. Autumn/winter is the best season. I hate summer with a passion. Wish I could hibernate for it and only come out for Wimbledon.

After March 2019 that will end:eek:

    December for me as well.

It's Christmas, I'm usually well organised so I can enjoy the time off work, catch up with old friends and enjoys the beers.

I find that, in general, when me and my friends all get home for Christmas, everyone's in good form and we just have a laugh.

I like spending some time with my family as well.

I still love Christmas so it has to be December. In general I like the winter months more, even January which is probably many people's least favourite would be one of my better times of year.

    Like the dark evenings..

This for me also. The always miserable Winter is finally behind us and the endless possibilities of Summer are just ahead.

The reason I don't pick a Summer month is because the endless possiblities of Summer includes the possibility it will rain every day and the wind will blow hurricanes which is usually what happens, this year notwithstanding.

This summer was horribly humid. Couldn’t wait for it to cool off. And actually once the relatively short sunny period passed, it was humid AND cloudy. The worst kind of weather. I love wrapping up in wintertime. Much easier to warm yourself up than cool yourself down.

March, I suppose. It's my birthday month. Also, the League of Ireland starts back up and I can go back to Turner's Cross every second Friday. The EPL and SPL are getting to the interesting stages too.

It's actually easier to choose my least favourite months: January, February and November. December nearly makes the list too, but I'm not a total humbug, so I'll leave it off.

December, the construction industry shuts down for two weeks.

Not like taking summer hols and coming back to circa 1000 emails!

May. Because it contains the last week of work before three months off.

Thanks, fellow taxpayers and non-fellow kid-havers, for making it all possible!

    :D

No it wasn't. I've been in country's were you'd die without air conditioning, Ireland in summer is a long way from that

Anywhere in winter in general but i love December. I love when it gets cooler but so clear outside. During the day with a glint of sun and at night a cloudless sky, I also like the Christmas vibes when i'm out and about.

I like September / October - Autumn is my favourite time of year, and also that's typically when I get finished paying for fúcking December!

December can kiss my hairy white ass.

Only joking - December's cool it's just bloody expensive!

For Ireland it was. We all know there are 100% humidity countries but Ireland had a very humid summer by our standards. Frequently up in the 70%s and 80%s. For a not very warm country, that’s really humid. I know how humid it was from how heavy my head felt most of the time (in addition to frequently checking out the latest weather observations). My sinuses are pretty adept at telling me it’s humid. Just because it wasn’t feckin’ New Orleans doesn’t mean it wasn’t a close summer. And those high humidity countries are much better equipped with air con whereas when Ireland gets a muggy spell, you just have to suffer through it so it’s worse in some ways to countries that get that very heavy weather more frequently.

May is bliss. I feel tingly all over with the very thought of Summer stretching out ahead of me. Blossoms on trees, flowers out, leaves back, birds and animals courting and having fun, it's often the most beautiful weather we get, I love it. Can't wait for it to happen again!

Autumn/winter months definitely. Waking up on a Saturday to a magnificent blue clear sky. With the low laying sun and watching natur change all around in to a blend a gradient of deep brown to vibrant auburn. The air as well is just so crisp and when the cold gets a little bit too much head into a pub with a fire. Going out into the beer garden where everyone huddles together on benches with the mist coming off my breath as I catch up with friends at Christmas. Then spend Sundays panned out on the couch being warm and cosy on my couch drinking tea and binging whatever show I'm into at the time.

Sorry I didn't notice the humidity at all, I was out enjoying the best summer Ireland's had in my lifetime and how the sunshine makes Ireland look incredibly beautiful. crappy weather will be with us soon though so back to staying in with boxsets

May. Summer is ready to kick off if it hasn't done so already, evenings starting to get properly long and the living is easy.

Man, I love the month of May.
