There was a time when a huge chunk of my online entertainment came from YouTube.... music, tv, random shíte... but now it's extremely rare I go near it. HUGE banner ads on videos, constant and unbearable annotations all over the screen, ceaseless ads before every video, vast tranches of blocked content and rights claims... Google really did a number on YouTube, what a shîtshow it's become.

The paid version is grand imo, better than spotify.

Dude, I haven't seen an ad or banner ads or annotations on youtube in donkeys years! LOL.

'Adblock' and 'Magic Actions for Youtube' for Chrome will sort you out.

Mainly on a work computer so no admin rights. It also means I have to use IE as YouTube is blocked on Chrome (which according to the work rules I shouldn't have). A balls all round.

    Sorry, something went wrong.

A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.

If you see them, send them this information as text (screenshots frighten them):

is that what that's about? I was browsing the tunes thread here only two minutes ago and all was fine

The little four second ads don't bother me much, popping up in the middle of a video though is taking the piss.
The skip function doesn't work on adblock,so that's a no.

That I have to use IE? It's barbaric.

I get away with most day to day browsing on Chrome but for many things I'm forced to use IE, the intranet and YouTube and most social media and a few other common websites.
