    Hi All,
I'm a tad confused. Made my BCMS submission last Friday October 12th. Put down Commencement date as next October 26th. This is 14 days notice. Received a mail from the County Council this morning marking it as incomplete and advising "commencement date is incorrect and must be 14 days or more after the date of submission.". I have checked over my notice online again and I cannot see where the issue is! can anyone advise?

When you start the process, it is not complete until you completely finish and pay. So if you start the process today, give 14 days notice, then finish tomorrow, you are now 1 day short of the 14 day notice.

On the other hand, it could be a BCMS glitch.

    What council was it?
What was the submission number and i'll take a look....it should start with 841....

The issue was the downloaded/signed commencement form had the 25th date on them as I started them a day earlier whilst waiting for the builder to sign-off. The system had the right date, the form had a day earlier.

    Perfect. Human error so.
The form is the Statutory Document, so this has to be 100% correct.

Just start again, but make sure to complete within the one day.
