Sorry, the formatting on this new boards.ie site seems arseways and difficult to edit and paste stuff now. Hopefully it makes sense above. There also seems to be a big difference between the different speed and ply ratings. The tyres on the van now are 115/113 so I'm guessing the cheaper ones will be fine, or would I be better off getting the more expensive ones?

Any feedback would be great :)

Are you more looking for tyre which will be good on wet surface and average on snow, or average on wet surface and good on snow?

Thanks Cinio, looking for a good all rounder that will do in all conditions and be able to handle snow relatively well even though they will be used in rain a lot more than in snow, but will still need to be usable in snow. The Vanco's did absolutely fine the last snow we got here and perform fine in rain too, so I'd be happy with them again, just wondering if the cross climate are any better at all round use :)

I don't much expierience with van tyres, but those Michelins you listed when I looked on a picture looks like they are designed way more for wet roads than snow.
Your Continental Vanco Four Season 2 should be better allrounder for both conditions.
On the other end of the scale would be Nokian Weatherproof C which probably would be way better in snow than wet.

I recently got Kleber Quadraxer 2 for my car (as I read it handles excellent in wet, and pretty well on snow) but they are car tyre model, so wouldn't be available for van's.

Thanks again! Yeah, I'll probably stick to the Vanco!

I'm just wondering if the extra speed rating would be worth the extra investment, but I'm guessing the cheaper ones will do me fine and I may as well keep the money in my own pocket :)

All tyres you listed have speed rating R which is up to 170km/h. Can your van go any quicker?

Haven't taken this one on the Auto Bahn yet ;)

Oh yeah, I thought the 115 compared to 118 was to do with speed, but I see it's load rating now. I think 115 will be fine in that case, 113/115 are on it at the mo.
