Ballpark numbr for new immersion cylinder

    Lads, could someone tell me what to expect in terms of ballpark number..... I'm waiting for a quote from my local heating & plumbing crowd for a replacement (supply & fit) immersion cylinder.

    It will have a dual (bath & sink) electric element plus a single coil for the gas CH. The old tank is about 34" high (36" to top of insulation) and based on 1" thick insulation around the side, the diameter of the tank (excl. insulation) is 18". There will be no additional plumbing required, all of the features mentioned (element and coil) are in the old tank.

    Everyone charges their own rates. Parts of the country can be a lot cheaper than Dublin.
    Rough guesstimate 400 to 500 but it can be as high as 600

    We don't discuss cash jobs here and there's no way anyone got a vat receipt for a 300 supply & fit cylinder.
