Could a 10" thick standard double mattress fit in a c-max. It couldnt be rolled or bent more than a little. Need to know within the next hour or so if possible...

I've had a double mattress in the back of a C-Max before, but it did need some stuffing and rolling.

Thanks guys; rented a caddy instead

Wouldn't have thought a caddy would be any bigger in the back than a cmax with the seats down/removed.

If it has a bulkhead it's probably shorter in the back.

Will find out i guess. Supposed to be equivalent to a berlingo. The berlingo I was in before was huge in the back as far as i remember. It was in the USA though so i wonder if it was bigger than its eu counterpart.

No such thing as a Berlingo in USA. Was it a Dodge Promaster aka Fiat Ducato

No idea. I just remember it being referred to as a berlingo. Great big boxy thing. Had seats in the back.

A Berlingo is a small van, roughly the same size as a Caddy. http://www.citroensouthdublin.ie/new-cars/Berlingo

Yeah I heard the small van available for rent was equivalent to a Berlingo and had an incorrect frame of reference. Anyway it’s been useful so far moving smalle4 items and i’m Only going literally one minute down the road so hopefully can figure something out without needing a second rental

Well I got it in and got the doors closed, surprisingly. Did need to stuff and bend it a bit but it seems to be ok at the other end. Would have been a non-starter in the c-max because of its lesser height - had to put it in diagonally.
