    Hi,
Ford Focus 2009 TDCi Rear Sway Bar rust and peeling paint. I am going to change the bushings
on the rear sway bar, case they look bad. Is the rust and peeling pain an NCT fail? If so paint or Replace? Car has 150,000 KM's on it. Never any suspension trouble.

No its not a fail unless its cracked or the bushes are worn or the droplinks dust covers are torn or cracked.
If it bothers you just paint it with some black Smoothrite paint.

90% cars of that age will have some surface rust & paint peeling off the sway bar, but never seen one so bad as to effect it structurally - would need to be that bad to effect nct.
