Rust on wheels + wheel balancing

    Hi

I've a f10 msport and never noticed this before. I got front tyres changes last week and that's when it became apparent but don't think changing tyres would impact this? Front wheels are meant to be metal, hence rust - back 2 wheels are aluminium I think so no rust. Any ideas what's caused this and anything that can be done? They've looked like this the past few days and it doesn't go away and unless im mad before I got the tyres changed I never noticed this before or wasn't like this?

    Back ones look normal:

Also as I was getting tyres put on the guy said he could not perform tracking as the bolts were too tight on the axels so I needed to go back to mechanic and get them loosed - ever heard of this before?

Anyone any recommendations for tracking on 5 series? Rang a place earlier and said they can't do the 5 series....

All your wheels are aluminium and all metal :) What you are looking at is your brake disc hats and its normal for them to be rusty, the rears are coated to slow this process down on your car. They have nothing to do with your wheels and are not a part of them. The fronts were obviously changed to non OEM branded discs as all bmw discs are coated
