How can I search social media for dash cam footage?

Hi, I was involved in an accident that I don't think I was to blame for but will probably have trouble proving that. However it was a busy roundabout at a busy time so someone may have useful dash cam footage. I hear about people putting the call out on social media, but how do I go about doing that?

    Thanks!

    Where and when was this?
Possibly someone here was a witness.

Moved to main forum for exposure.

To put the call out on social media, you could put a post up on Facebook asking if anyone witnessed/has footage of the incident, and asking people to share it. Make sure the post is viewable to the public. Then, if you’re really lucky, people share it and it travels far enough that someone who saw the incident sees the post and contacts you. You could try posting directly to any groups that are specific to the locality it happened in too.

It was at the Dublin road Parkway shopping centre roundabout on Friday 21 September about 6pm

Might be worth putting it over on the Limerick forum also

Try putting the place name in to Twitter, there's a chance someone might have tweeted something with their video.

The roundabout most can't use correctly. It's a disaster of a roundabout

And with half the road markings currently missing after some recent upgrade work, it's an even worse disaster of a roundabout than usual

Maybe try a Facebook group for the area? I'm on one for west Dublin and it seems to be quite useful in terms of warnings for burglaries, dodgy pedo vans etc. Posting there would probably be more useful than just asking your Facebook friends, but of course try both.
