Hi Guys, I hope this is the correct forum.

I came home today to find a very noticeable smell similar to varnish / gloss paint in my front room.

The neighbouring house is being renovated & there were electric sanders being used there last week. I was wondering that if they were having floorboards renovated, could the odour could have come through the adjoining wall or perhaps the floorboards.

The smell is only in the front room & I can't think of anything else that would be causing it.

I'd be grateful for any opinions.
