    Hi There,

I was just a small bit unsure about a question regarding my pay from my previous employer.

If I am paid a week in arrears, does this mean that my last paycheck should be paid a week after leaving?

Correct. Although they might give you a cheque on your last day.

    There are some questions:

Thursday, October 4: You get paid for the previous week. Is it the entire previous week? Thursday - Wednesday? Or is it the previous week Sunday - Saturday?
Sunday, October 6: You give your notice. How much notice do you need to give? Does it mean you leave immediately?
Thursday, October 11: Are you wondering if this is your last pay cheque and if it covers everything?

I didn’t really give notice. I quit on the spot I know the have no obligation to pay me in this case but I am trying anyway. This Thursday is when I would be expecting to receive my last paycheck?

They still have to pay you for hours worked along with outstanding holiday pay.

Where I work, the stores work Mon-Sun and get paid the following Friday. So you quit Fri 5th and your last payment is Friday 12th. I would assume you are due your last week.
