Glasses/Spectacle charity donation?

    Sorry not too sure if this is the best place to post this but I figured someone here might be in the know. Does anyone know anywhere that takes old glasses/spectacles for charity (or even recycling) purposes. Was tidying stuff up recently and found 3 old pairs - seems like a waste to just bin them if someone might get some use out of them.

    Google's usually my best friend for questions like this but I'm struggling a little - no doubt due to me not being able to ask the right question :P

    Most opticians will take them and send them to Vision Aid overseas or the Lions Club. A lot of Specsavers branches will have a bin that you can put them in too
