Has anyone noticed a strange credit card transaction on their bank statement assigned to The National Ploughing Championship. Looks like a charge for entry 40 (2 by 20). As didn't go this year could possibly be last years entry fee which is only being charged now. Seems a bit strange.

That’s very curious. I was at it but paid cash. One thing I did notice was that most of the stall holders now take credit/debit cards. Even the little ones. About bloody time.

That can't be right, never known a transaction taking a year to process, you should query that transaction with the Credit Card company.

Report it to the bank straight away. This is has the hallmarks of a card skimmer. They initially make a series of small transactions to see if they have been spotted. Once all is clear they increase the value of the transactions.

Can your card pay by tapping.
Its also likely someone could have got money that way by brushing up against you with a credit card machine .
    Get onto the card company

Sounds dodgy as it gets, seek written reply as to how the money was extracted from your account.
