Cheapest Diatomaceous Earth for delivery?

    Hi,

    I'm wanting some DE to put in the chicken shed. I want some to put in large cat litter trays for the hens to bath in (any better idea's for containers?) as well as throwing a load around everywhere really. The floor of the chicken shed (concrete) with dried loose mud/wood shavings mixed so they can bath.

    Whilst DE seems reasonably priced, delivery charges up the price quite a bit.

    The best value I've so far found is a 5kg bucket of Smite at €26 plus 8 odd euro shipping from Mac Eoin General Merchants in Dingle (I'm in Donegal)

    Ideally I would like a few of 5kg's - does anyone have suppliers that do cheaper?

    DE is the best thing ever!!!
    I sprinkle it around the edges of my hens coops
    Ive put it in their dustbaths too - I mix it with the sand rather than putting only DE in there

    Ive bought it from a local (Kildare) company, have enough for several years ::D but cant find them online now...

    Hi. I'm currently looking for this also. I've come across a company up north who seem reasonable. By registering for their newsletter, they give a 10% discount. Prices seem to include delivery, I was looking at the 25kg bag, £39.99 delivered down south. It'll last me a decade. Company is mistralie, 5kg priced at £21.79. Obviously take 10%off if you register for newsletter. Best of luck
