    Hi All

So i scraped the rear door and sill of the car and got a few quotes to repair it.

Best quote so far is 800. Lad who I was talking to said I need to get the front door as well as the read door sprayed for colour match purposes so that left me puzzled.

    1. If they have to respray the two doors to match - what about matching the doors to the rest of the car?

2.Also is 800 a good quote? I'm carlow kildare based but would use a dublin based repairer if good/ reasonably priced

any info appreciated as I've not had to do this before

Without pictures it's hard to say.

If the damage to the rear door is more towards the front of the car then I would guess there is simply enough undamaged space to blend the paintwork on the rear door without moving towards the boot. The front door will then have to be blended in with the new paint. All standard stuff.

As for price. Hard to say without knowing the damage, it even seems cheap. These types of repairs are not cheap.

They dont spray the front door all the way to the edge, they blend it in. Its so the fresh paint dosent stand out like a sore thumb.

Ah yes - blending - that makes sense.

    cheers
