Ford Mondeo Mk IV tech question

    Hi. Can anyone explain why there is a difference in the towing capacity for a 2015 and 2017 Mondeo. Both are 1.5 econetic engine and identical spec.

    See attached vehicle plates.

    Obviously it's for towing. I'm switching from 2017 to 2015 vehicle and the 2015 vehicle appears to handle a lighter weight.
