Anyone know the approximate cost of getting in someone with a post driver to drive posts. Hourly rate please.

    30/35 p/h plus vat
(depends on number of hours and distance away from base and payment going out gate)

Tractor , loader with forks , post driver and driver

would this be just one man with tractor and post driver

Hardly any need to ask this question. Each man would surely be e15 per hour

Honestly I don't know how they can send a man with the machine for that money.

Realistically id say the €15 would be +prsi + holiday pay + VAT/hr/man. Tractor and post driver 25/hr min + VAT I'd be thinking.

    One man altogether.

45/50 per hour plus vat for 2 operators

€40/hour for the stake driver, tractor and man. You walk along and set up the stake

Makes it a lot faster if you have the stakes thrown where needed before post driver comes. Only need to have a few handy ones to carry on tractor.

Way local lad does it is farmer drives his tractor and he operates the driver. Works well and fair

Lad here comes day before and lays out the posts, uses our digger to do this. Then they drive the posts.

Got quoted 1100+vat for 150m of 4strand barb with a gate in the middle. 1 straight run
    Does that sound right?

150 x 5.5 is 825. I'd imagine gate and two extra gate posts would bring you fairly near. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd don't think it's too far off.

    I’m supplying the gate.

25eur plus vat around these parts. Might be low although I'm not complaining.

    40 is steep.
