I've two new bags of compost (all purpose and container plants), recently used them to pot on some chillis w/o paying much attention. Three weeks later, all the chillis are crawling w/ fungus gnats (they're maturish, so they should be ok).
Go to pot on the remainder of them, and look in the bags a bit more carefully and both big bags are crawling w/ fungus gnats. Is it worth going back to the garden centre or is it something i should expect?
(got some tomato plant compost in the meantime to pot on the remainder before bringing them in for the winter)
