    Hi folks,

I'm planning on getting the full house interior painted next March and I'm hoping to get an idea of cost. Just a ball park so I can budget for it.

The house is 3,000 sq feet and it's a dormer. It is 10 years old and hasn't been painted since then but it's still in very good condition. I'll be looking to get all walls and ceilings done. White ceilings and very neutral colours on the walls. Creams etc.... Basically the same as it is now. No major colour changes.

The doors, skirting, arcatrave amd stairs are all oak and varnished. I'll want them done too. Sanded and one coat I think....

Anyone care to throw an estimate on it, including paint preferably, and also how long would it take a painting contractor to do?

    Thanks folks. ðŸ‘

Thats like asking how long is a piece of string. Also, if it hasn't been painted in 10 yrs, it's going to be very thirsty. Odds on, 3 coats will be required.

Well this is it. That's why I'm asking now so I can budget for it. It could be anything from 2k to 20k in my head. I'm hoping a painter with experience will have done similiar can give me some idea....

Your best bet would be to get a few painters to price. And remember, a good job isn't cheap and a cheap job isn't good. :-)

4 years ago we got our house painted top to bottom like you want. The stairs is white so that had to be done too. It was just over 2500 as ft. It cost €2000 including paint but as I said that wasv4 yrs ago.
