I am currently on Disability Allowance and when I reach retirement age I will be entitled to a state pension of 158.50 Euros per week. I also paid into a private pension for twelve years but I don't now what it will be worth at retirement age.

On reaching retirement age would I continue to receive Disability Allowance or would it be reduced by the amount of any pensions I am entitled to?

If you are getting DA now of €198 then say for instance you were going to be 66 on Monday you would apply for state pension non-con and get €232 less euro for euro any pension you get from the UK.
Are you working too? Are you being credited with a PRSI contribution while you’re on DA?
Irish SW pensions are going to undergo huge changes in the next 48 months.
DA stops at your 66th birthday.

I'm not working. I don't know if I am being credited with a PRSI contribution.
If I have paid into a private pension for 12 years, is the state pension non-contributory of €232 reduced accordingly, or would I receive the full value of both pensions?
would be entitled to a contributory state pension of 158.50 Euros per week. Would I receive the full value of both private and contributory pensions?

If you take the non con pension then yes it will be reduced € for € by your private pension but if you take whatever con pension you will be entitled to then it wouldn’t be.

    You could contact
    PRSI Records
Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection
    McCarter's Road
    Ardaravan
    Buncrana
    Donegal
    Ireland

    Tel:(01) 471 5898 (If calling from outside the Republic of Ireland please call +353 1 471 5898)
Locall:1890 690 690 (Note: the rates charged for using 1890 (Lo-call) numbers may vary)

They should be able to tell you if you’re being credited, although they may not have totally up to date records, as DA may not have updated the system, but it’s a good place to start. The main DA office in Longford could also tell you:
    Disability Allowance

    Ballinalee Road, Longford

    Telephone 043 334 0000
    LoCall 1890 927 770

You can also request a copy of your PRSI record from welfare.ie
You’d probably have to register for mygovid, which once you’ve verified your mobile number gives you access to a range of records & current entitlements information, a lot of which are pretty much instant. It can also be used for dealings with revenue & is by far the best way to manage your access to public services records & any dealings you may have in the future imo.
