We recently bought secondhand internal doors with easi T locks but we don't know what number keys we need and we really can't afford to replace the locks. Any help appreciated

Go to your local lock smith.
Usually they have a bunch of keys with all the numbers which they will give you. You just pay a deposit for the bunch and just try all the keys until one works.

Tell them the number and they will give you a new key of the correct number

The idea is good but he should come to them with the keys, otherwise he could lose his licence

These are standardized internal door keys which can be purchased in many many locations online.
No they wont lose their license.

@OP, You can actually buy a new lock and keys online for less than €10. They are very easy to replace if you buy the same size.
