Folio Number Query

Lands in my Grandad's name (RIP) have been shared amount his children and are ready for signatures etc.

There was a land swap about 30 yrs ago with a neighbour that was never registered and has caused quiet a bit of hassle to get sorted as there was a house built on the lands.

We've had a look at landdirect.ie and it keeps coming up with a huge amount of other Folio numbers when you look at details of the original Folio number that have been agreed upon and shared.

Some are commonage but others are fields used by my Grandad's neighbours that were never used by him.

What are these other Folio numbers?
Can a piece of land have more than one Folio number?

I hope my post is clear in explanation as I am quiet confused by it all.
