BMW E66 7 Series not reading CDs

    Evening gents,

Car in question is an 06 E66 730d

It takes a disc fine and displays tracks etc on screen and I can flick through them, but no sound.

    I've tried multiple discs.

Any ideas? Anything I've found on google so far relates to CD changers (this car doesn't have a CD changer)

    Thanks in advance

everything else audio wise working ? radio and all ?
if its getting track titles then its reading, could be loose or damaged cabling coming from the in dash cd deck.

Everything else is working fine, radio and phone are perfect through the speakers.

I wonder could I take out just the panel with the Cd slot and key pad for a look at the wiring. Hopefully. Don't really want to go taking the whole dash apart.

Yeah it comes out without a complete dash taredown , thats the ASK unit which actually acts as the audio source in the standard speaker config, do you have logic7 ?
