The wind was something fierce this morning at about nine o clock. A couple of times I thought I was actually going to catch flight.

Part of our garden fence came down this morning in the half hour between me letting the dogs out and then going out to make sure I'd closed the shed door. (I had).

I'm getting house renovations done and as I already found problems with the chimney and now this, I'm half expecting to find Kevin McCloud from Grand Designs standing around the corner narrating about my woes.

(However, it's not as tragic as that poor woman in Clifden who died, God Rest Her)

On my drive to work today I had to stop a few times to clear big branches and bins from the road.
Quite an adventure in storm winds:)

I swim regularly with 'daily' swimmers. None of my group went in today.

I saw 2 swimmers in at around 11am. It was actually fine because there was a westerly wind and they were sheltered on the city side.

The day was very changeable. There are always some who go in no matter what, but many chose not to. It can be sheltered there but often the danger is getting out. Saw someone very bloody there the other day too!
