Fuel Allowance

    If someone is new on Disability Allowance , do they need to apply for fuel Allowance or do they automatically get it ?

    They need to apply, and I'd get an application in quickly since the season starts on October 1st

    I think you have to apply for it if I remember correctly.

    Just because you are on DA does not mean you can get FA.

    Once you're the only one in the house claiming FA and on DA, you sshould get it (unless you're a millionaire). And yes, apply this week.

    If you moved from JSA to disability do you have to reapply? I received it last year...

    When you applied for DA there was an oppprtunity on page 13 of the application form for you to apply for fuel allowance. If you think you didn’t or you don’t remember then apply now.
