Hi guys, my girlfriend has been availing if the SUSI grant for two years as she was intially told she wasn’t eligible for BTEA, since she quit her job to go back to college. Is it possible for her to change to BTEA now instead of SUSI, or would she have to be unemployed for a period of time to be eligible for BTEA? Thanks.

She's not elegible for BTEA, To be eligible you must be receiving a social welfare payment for 9 months before commencing study.

She hasn’t been getting JSA or any other SW payment so she’s not entitled.
