The sister thread ". . . Someone you inexplicably can't stand" through up some interesting names. It seems the same people are universally disliked. So I wonder, are there people who are universally liked? I'll get us going . . .

    Michael Palin
    The Rock
    Tom Hanks
    Kristen Wiig
    Labron James
    Rodger Federer
    Danny De Vito
    Keanu Reeves
    David Beckham
    Jennifer Saunders (and Ade Edmondson)

All seem like quite nice people, despite their fame. Queue a load of people with "Tom Hanks is a c**t" comments.

I always have a reason for liking people.

My hate is more indiscriminate and usually ill-founded.

It's inevitable someone would get the threads mixed up.

    Billy Connolly.

The man has an amazing ability to make the most mundane story's hysterically funny.

It's was also inevitable people would miss the 'inexplicably' and explain why they like said person.

Jeremy Clarkson, I know he has a side to him that makes him an ignorant prick, but he's still the best ever at reviewing cars and is the reason Top Gear became the biggest car show in the world.

    Chris Hemsworth.

I should pretty much detest the guy, but he just seems like a legitimately good bloke who loves his family and is keen to take the piss out of himself too.

    Love her.

Some people think she is a moody ould bag that never smiles and could do with eating a burger but I think she is fabulous! Great mother, great business mind and if I had the money and bod for one of her dresses it would be all I would wear.

That’s not inexplicable at all then.

there is a video doing the rounds of her dancing to spice up your life at a house party. She looks like she is a bit of craic.

For all my issues with religion - organised religions - and the people who work for them, I find myself quite liking Richard Coles whenever I see him on tele or hear him talk on radio. Have not read anything he has written though. That might cure me.

    The thread title is confused

There's a youtuber called Sargon of Akkad who mainly chats about politics and pop culture ****e.

I disagree with him on more or less every topic and he's said/done some pretty horrible ****, but something about his personality is endearing. Reminds me a bit of a conservative chap I used to knock around with in Uni.

Missed that part, it was the "for whatever reason" part that caught my (and a good few others by the looks of things) eye.

But the second part of the thread title reads "....for whatever reason" which, arguably, flies in the face of the word "inexplicable" in the first part!

In other words if "whatever reason" exists, then the like cannot be "inexplicable"!

Hence, logically speaking, this thread should not contain any nominations whatsoever!

I hope this thread doesn't get ruined.
