My budget is around 1000 euro would you suggest buying a new PC or possibly even a laptop or would it be cheaper to buy a new processor and graphics card? I am looking to be able to play the latest AAA games like Battlefield and Cod

Of build from new. None of your parts are worth keeping apart from your power supply. And that's age depending. Might be worth getting new too.

What resolution are you playing at?. For 1080p you'd get away with an i7 3770, something like a GTX 1060 6GB or better and a 500gb SSD. But you've the budget to do a complete upgrade which will last you a good few years so really up to you.

Drop in an i7-3770 and GTX1070, job done at around €550 for both. Games are now moving towards more cores/threads, so an i7-3770 now is still pretty bulletproof for 1080p 60fps gameplay, will be for quite some time.
