Husband is a sales rep. Spends most of his time in the car. No set clothes policy at work but he will always wear a smart shirt, good shoes etc. but trousers are really causing problems.
He usually wears navy/ grey chinos but after a few washes they are faded and terrible looking. These are usually Selected brand and I'm getting fed up of him needing new ones every 3/4 months.
Any advice on good chinos that will last a bit longer/ dressier looking?

If it’s just fading that’s causing the problem then just re-dye them every few months. It’s really easy and will extend the life of them. It’s easier if he only has 1 or 2 colors.

Chinos will fade because they’re kind of designed to, they’re made from cotton which fades.

He could try different types of trousers like wool or cord, especially for autumn and winter.

I.d agree with baby and crumble. Husband in similar situation to yours....every couple of months I redye the trousers, and they
come out perfect. The dye now has the salt built in, so extremely easy to use.

How often do you wash the trousers? Maybe switch to more of a suit trouser style; you can get "traveller" options in many stores which won't crease as badly, and you can dry clean them less often.

He'll really need about 5 - 7 pairs or trousers though. If he's wearing the same two or three pairs each week they are going to fade.

Trousers would be washed on a short 30deg wash. They are not actually dirty dirty just dirty, if that makes sense!

I must try the dye. I have 6 pairs that i thought were ready for clothes collection but I'll give the dye a go.
