Google Play movies (pay per movie)
    Rakuten TV (monthly subscription)
    Netflix (monthly subscription)
    Amazon Prime

I don't think there are any great movies anymore. Everything these days is a series.

You could look at Film4. They are free to air on satellite and should have some decent stuff.

Netflix is free for the first month, so you can try before you buy.

Didn't care for Amazon Prime - a lot of their content is region-specific, and not available in my region - and there was no way of knowing what was and what wasn't before you clicked on it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I have the US version of netflix so I don't know what the uk/ire version is like.
They do say you sometimes spend more time looking for something to watch than actually watching.

I don't think there is anything better than netflix out there. It is good value if you watch 3 or 4 things a month.
