I have bought a house and I'm replacing the windows UPVC for UPVC. My wife and I want to replace the windows but without a sill board on the outside, how would I go about flashing the bottom of the window to stop water coming in the walls I am putting the windows in are timber walls 6 by 3 timbers she did with three quarter plywood I want to push the windows out flush with the plywood so that when the timber side and goes on to the house the finish timber siding I am hoping to flash down over the finish timber siding from the window.
I'm guessing I would have to put in some sort of a lead tray under the window and leave it protruding out until I get the finish siding installed and then I can flash down onto that but I might be wrong any advice would be greatly appreciated.
