insulation under tiles

    i want to put insulation under tiles. between floor height difference into other room its 18 mm. so tile is 8mm. want insulation 10mm. is there suvh a product. yes tiles to sit on top

    Real tiles no.

    12 mm laminate tile effect flooring yes.

    10 mm very thick though for wood floor, 5-6 mm better, less movement.

    Can get 7mm depending on brand but budget increases for the top stuff.

    You won't notice 1-2 mm with threshold in place.

    You could put ply down. It has better insulation capabilities than bare concrete. But due to density would be no where near a fiber or air filled insulant

    I've seen them in B&Q and put them down myself for our bathroom. Similar to you - difference in height of ~ 20mm so tiles + board (don't forget adhesive) was about the same and put a bit of trim between the two and the 1-2mm final difference is not noticeable.
