Spare wheel

    We recently bought a 3 year old Toyota Verso and it came with a compressor kit to repair a burst tyre instead of a spare wheel.  I would like to get a spare wheel as it gives me piece of mind on longer journeys.  I'm based in Galway and I was wondering what are my options?   What places sell spare wheels (Rim and Tyre) .  I don't need the alloy, just a basic rim.  
    I've tried two scrap yards, ones out of business or not picking up and one says they get them in the odd time.  
    Any advise?

    I assume there isn’t anywhere in the car to carry a spare wheel?

    Older ones had a winch system that lifted the wheel off the ground and carried it under the boot floor.

    In terms of getting a wheel, you don’t have to get one off the same model as yours. These cars have the same hub fitment (offset is slightly different, so you wouldn’t be using this as a permanent fixture but perfect as a spare)

    www.partfinder.ie is good for finding local breakers who have particular cars.

    Call to a good scrap yard and they will sort you.
    Someone stole the spare of our Citroen years ago and I got a replacement in local scrap yard for €30
