Was just going to post the same thing. A fracture in a sacro-iliac joint is fairly severe, I wonder did the recent 70.3 worlds cause it, because its very unlikely that he had symptoms going in to that competition and still win so somprehensively. Kona looks interesting now because Jan would have been the hands down favourite to win. If Sanders hadnt recently attempted to cut weight so drastically going in to Mont Tremblant I would have had him the fave in Frodeno's absence but now Im not so sure. I still think Sanders needs a coach to save him from himself in the long run because cutting carbs pre race to shed weight resulting in glycogen depletion and loss of energy / power is really something a 12 year old would know. For someone of Sanders experience and pedigree to not know this 6 weeks out from Kona is crazy. Is it the year for Sebastian Kienle ?
